Bethel, a non-profit organization headquartered in Danishpet, Tamil Nadu, has been empowering marginalized communities for six decades. We work across four key areas: Education, Healthcare, Empowerment, and Agriculture.
Our Mission: To enable and empower individuals and families to reach their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance.
Empowering Lives, Transforming Communities:
- Bethel Baby Rescue Home: We rescue abandoned or surrendered babies and are brought to our Baby Home. These babies are cared till they are ready for adoption. (20 babies in our care)
- Bethel Matriculation & Higher Secondary School: We offer affordable education to 350 children, mostly dependent on scholarships.
- Bethel Community College: This institute provides vocational training and paramedical courses to over 100 underprivileged girls, many on scholarships.
- Bethel Hospital: Serving the poorest and most marginalized communities, we plan to launch a palliative care centre this year.
- Hope for Brighter Tomorrow: This project supports the education of children of “life-term prisoners,” giving them hope for a better future.
- After School Clubs: We provide academic and moral coaching for about to 250+ children from rural villages, chosen from the most economically disadvantaged families.
- Bethel Women & Child Welfare: We offer nutrition and healthcare to women during pregnancy and post-partum, and health awareness to adolescent girls (2,800+ beneficiaries).
